Welcome to FormFlex
FormFlex is a native Framer plugin that allows you to build custom interactive forms, collect submissions securely in the cloud, handle file uploads, and manage domain licenses—all visually in Framer with zero backend code required.

Opening FormFlex in Framer
How to find and launch FormFlex in your Framer project:
Step 1: Open the Plugins Menu
In your Framer project, open the Plugins menu from the top toolbar or by pressing "cmd K" on mac and "ctrl K" on windows.
Step 2: Find FormFlex
Search for “FormFlex” in the search bar.
Step 3: Click to Launch
Click on FormFlex to open the floating plugin window on your canvas.
Requirements & Compatibility
• Framer Workspace: Works on both Free and Pro Framer plans.
• Browser Support: All framer supported browsers, and the Framer Desktop app.
• Zero Configuration: No external script embeds, npm packages, or coding needed.
GETTING STARTED
Quick Start Guide
Create and publish a live form on your website in three simple steps:
1. Add a Form or Inputs to Your Canvas
Open the FormFlex plugin. Go to the “Prebuilt Forms” tab to insert a complete ready-made form (such as a Contact Form) with 1 click, or switch to “Components” to drag and drop individual form fields.
2. Customize in Framer
Select any input or container directly on your canvas. Use Framer’s native properties panel on the right to customize field labels, placeholders, required rules, and colors.
3. Publish Your Website
Click “Publish” in Framer. FormFlex components automatically validates with our server and your account and registers your domain based on your plan tier.

Account & Authentication Setup
How user accounts and license keys work in FormFlex:
Signing In & Session Syncing
Sign in to your FormFlex account directly inside the floating plugin window or via the public website (/login). Once authenticated, your subscription tier and active domain licenses automatically synchronize across all your Framer sessions.
Dedicated Account License Key
Every user account receives a dedicated license key (e.g. FF-PRO-…). When you insert an advanced component, FormFlex automatically connects your account license to enable cloud submission handling.
Account Plans Overview
Basic (Free): Unlimited use of all basic form inputs across all your websites.
Advanced: 1 active custom domain license, file uploads, country phone input, date pickers.
Pro: Unlimited custom domain licenses under your personal account for managing multiple live client websites.

How FormFlex handles domain licensing for custom websites:
How Domain Licensing Works
FormFlex uses cloud origin verification to ensure advanced form features operate on authorized domains linked to your account. Staging domains (*.framer.app and Framer previews) are 100% free and never consume your custom domain limits.
Free vs. Pro Plans
Basic Plan (Free): All basic components are free on unlimited domains forever.
Advanced Plan: Includes 1 active custom domain license. When you publish to your custom domain, it registers to your account.
Pro Plan: Includes unlimited custom domain licenses under your personal account, allowing you to manage and launch multiple client sites seamlessly.
IMPORTANT
Important Note: FormFlex licenses are tied to your personal user account and cannot be transferred to external accounts or template buyers.
Transferring Domain Licenses (“Set as Primary Domain”)
If you are on the Advanced plan and need to move your license to a new website, simply open the FormFlex plugin on the new project, go to the Settings tab, and click “Set as Primary Domain” to reassign your license.
IMPORTANT
This action will detach your old domain with your account due to the domain limit of the advance plan. Advance plan is basically for the personal use on a personal site.

Secure Cloud Storage
File attachments are encrypted client-side in the browser using AES-256 before upload, ensuring total privacy. Files can be stored securely in FormFlex Cloud or routed directly to your own storage (BYOS).
• End-to-End Client Encryption: Files are encrypted directly in the visitor’s browser using AES-256 before upload. Stored attachments remain encrypted ciphertext, ensuring complete privacy where no one can view or read the files.
• Dual Storage Flexibility: Choose between FormFlex Cloud (zero-setup encrypted cloud storage) or Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) to send files directly to your own Google Drive or custom webhook.
• Instant Download Window: Notification emails and webhooks receive a secure link with the original file name. Clicking the link automatically decrypts the attachment in browser memory and immediately invokes the native save dialog.
• Validation & Controls: Configure accepted formats (Images, PDFs, Documents, Images, Spreadsheets, Archives), custom file size limits, drag-and-drop dropzones, and interactive focus states.
Subscription Billing
Plan upgrades and payments are processed securely via Polar. Account activate immediately upon checkout.
Webhooks & Automation
Forward form submissions in real-time to Zapier, Make.com, Slack, Discord, or any custom API webhook endpoint.

Are basic form inputs free forever?
Yes! Standard inputs (Text, Textarea, Select, Checkbox, Radio) are completely free forever across unlimited websites without any domain restrictions.
Do Framer staging links (*.framer.app) consume my domain license?
No. All *.framer.app staging domains and local preview links are free and do not count against your custom domain license.
Can I transfer my license to a template buyer?
No. Every FormFlex license is connected to a specific user account and cannot be transferred to external buyers.
How do I transfer my domain license to another project?
Open the FormFlex plugin on the new project, navigate to the Settings tab, and click “Set as Primary Domain” to reassign your license.
